Search Strategies

Getting started on a job search is a big project, requiring organization and discipline. Achieve-it advises our candidates to write a Search Plan and document the following items:

  1. Goal – title(s), responsibilities, individual contributor or manager, salary, perks
  2. Skills inventory
  3. Key documents – resume, cover letters, desired company list, work samples, references, etc.
  4. Tools & Resources
  5. Networking
  6. Interview and Negotiation Skills and Strategies
  7. Image/Confidence

Be sure to include:

  • Actions
  • Target Dates
  • Measurable Results
